SPECIFIC HELP FOR HOUSE-HUNTERS

During their stay in France, Judith and John Fulton have noticed that many people who come to France looking for a house to buy, struggle to find the right property. Some buy in desperation, and buy the wrong property. This is obviously costly both financially and emotionally.

The reason may be that there is no suitable property available in the area where they are looking. However, it may also be that they are not sufficiently clear in their own minds about what exactly they are looking for, or they are unable to obtain sound advice about the potential, and cost, of renovations.

For example:

  • What are their priorities in their new life?
  • What do they and their family need?
  • Is the time right to be buying, or moving?
  • What, realistically, are their skills and capabilities?
  • How much can they afford?
  • Have they lived in the countryside before?
  • Could they cope with the upheaval and the work involved?

Estate Agents are very helpful, but at the end of the day, their job is to sell property. It is frustrating for them, to show people houses, when their clients do not really know what they are looking for.

It appears that a service is needed which would complement that of the Estate Agents.

Judith and John Fulton are now offering the following service for £100. The service covers house-hunters looking in the Charente and Dordogne areas of South-West France.

  • An initial questionnaire for house-hunters to complete prior to looking at property
  • An interview for one hour, on arrival in France, aiming to help the house-hunter(s) to focus realistically on their priorities; needs; means and abilities.
  • A second opinion on the chosen house, including advice as to what the potential of the property is; and an estimate of the cost of various renovations or alterations.
  • Alternatively, if you see a property on the internet that interests you, but you cannot manage to come to France to view it, Judith and John will view the property with the estate agent, and write you a very detailed, concise report with photographs within 3 days of your request. This will enable you to assess whether it is worth you visiting the property in person, and pursuing the purchasing negotiations.

The Fultons are well qualified to provide the above service.

Judith has a Certificate in Counselling Skills and has sixteen years working with clients to help them assess for themselves, their skills and abilities, aims and expectations.

John worked for ten years as a Property Consultant for a large company in Edinburgh. This involved advising on how to invest in property; the costs involved; the potential to alter property etc. He managed the transformation of several old properties into modern business centres and flats.

Both Judith and John have renovated several properties over the past thirty years in various countries, including England, Scotland, Ireland, Cyprus and France. Their experience is both ‘hands on’ and in a management capacity.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BENEFIT FROM THE ABOVE SERVICE, PLEASE SEND A CHEQUE FOR £100, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE QUESTIONNAIRE, APPOINTMENT FOR THE INTERVIEW, AND FURTHER INFORMATION.
